Our Vision

To see the Nations (people – Individuals) discipled.

Deliverance Church is called by God to make disciples of all nations by bringing people to Christ and membership of His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, equip them for ministry in the Church and life mission in the world.

Our Theme this year ...

We should not put aside� or discard the theme of 2008, ‘Come let us build’. Each of this is a block for� the building of God’s Kingdom.

This year, 2009, the Lord is calling us to OCCUPY. The Lord expects increase in all that He has given us. Luke 19:11-27Jesus gave this parable immediately after the encounter with the tax collector Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus had just gotten saved this being the very reason why Jesus had come to seek and save the lost.

In the parable the master called his servants and gave� each one money equipment worth 3months wages. He gave them equally, he trusted them and he expected them to put it to use, to occupy.

The Lord has given to each one of� us, His talents, gifts, resources, Jobs etc, He trusts you and expects us to use them resourcefully.

The theme for this year is "Occupy until I come ..." put to use.

5 areas to occupy this year

1. Evangelism and Missions; Matt 28:19. One of the reasons we exist in this place, is to bring people to the Kingdom of God. Our target this year is to add 100 people to the Church.We shall also recruit an evangelism full time personnel, and put an effective� class Discipling Programme.
2. Occupy in the area of prayer; To build our spiritual life, to Strengthen our Church prayer base through deliberate and diligent prayer and fasting .To fire this up, we will have 40 days of prayer and fasting, to combat the enemy’s occupation in our areas of growth and begin a morning vigil at Church� from 6:30am-7:30am. Jesus took prayer very seriously, without� which we will accomplish little or nothing.
3. Complete the Sanctuary; for the harvest. We intend to move the secretariat offices upstairs this year to give room for more people coming to the Church.
4. Family Life ; In relationships by encouraging exemplary families.
5. Corporate Worship; Through improved and increased Church� Services .Beginning February we will incorporate a Luganda service, the Midweek serve will continue as usual as well as the English Sunday service.

Some Practical guide lines to help us occupy

• Choose to do things for Jesus’ sake with perseverance, integrity and excellence.
• Don’t just work for God, work with God.
• Recognize the weakness of your flesh and do not feed the habit, deal with it.
• Know and apply love God’s word and love God’s people.
• Do not seek mans approval but God’s. Whatsoever you do, do it unto the Lord.
• Have a regular checkup of Body, Mind and have to balance and remove any bondages, bitterness, resentments and unconfessed sin.
